Hi, I'm Your Local Agent

Education-First

I focus on teaching you how the system works before we ever look at plans.

No Pressure

I am an independent agent. My goal is to find the best fit for YOU, not the company.

Zero Cost

My advisory services are free to my clients. I am compensated by the insurance carriers.

Medicare Basics

What is Medicare?

Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people who are 65 or older, certain younger people with disabilities, and people with End-Stage Renal Disease.

When to Enroll?

  • Initial Enrollment Period: A 7-month window around your 65th birthday.
  • Special Enrollment Periods: If you lose other coverage (like a job) or move.
  • Annual Enrollment Period: Oct 15 – Dec 7 every year to change plans.

Medicare Parts Explained

Part A

Hospital Insurance

Covers inpatient hospital stays, care in a skilled nursing facility, hospice care, and some home health care.

Part B

Medical Insurance

Covers certain doctors' services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventive services.

Part C

Medicare Advantage

An "all-in-one" alternative to Original Medicare. These private plans include Parts A, B, and usually D.

Part D

Prescription Drugs

Adds prescription drug coverage to Original Medicare and some Cost Plans.

Supplement vs. Advantage

This is the most common choice Medicare beneficiaries face. Neither is "better," but one is usually a better fit for your lifestyle.

Feature Medicare Supplement (Medigap) Medicare Advantage (Part C)
Monthly Premium Higher monthly cost Low or $0 monthly cost
Doctor Choice Any doctor that accepts Medicare Network-based (HMO/PPO)
Out-of-Pocket Very low/predictable Copays for most services
Extras Usually no Dental/Vision Often includes Dental/Vision/Gym

*The best option depends on your health, budget, and preferences — I can help you compare side-by-side.

Life Insurance

Life insurance is about peace of mind for those you leave behind. I help families and seniors navigate three main types:

  • Term Life: Affordable protection for a specific period (10-30 years).
  • Whole Life: Permanent protection that builds cash value over time.
  • Final Expense: Smaller policies designed specifically to cover funeral and burial costs.
